Stallions

2012 Imported Connemara stallion by the internationally renowned Grade A show jumping stallion, Dexter Leam Pondi, and out of Dandy Sparrow by the Grade A show jumping & eventing stallion, Ashfield Bobby Sparrow. Declan is 14.2 hds and has 9" of bone. He is an inspected and approved Premium stallion with the American Connemara Pony Society.

Declan is currently competing at the Modified Level of Eventing and finished his first two outings in the ribbons, including a 2nd place finish on his 29 in dressage. He has numerous wins in Eventing and almost always finishes in the ribbons on his dressage score. He consistently scores in the 20's. He was Area III Novice Champion in 2019, has been GDCTA Novice & Training Champion and has been a USEF Horse of the Year recipient twice. He competed at the American Eventing Championships in 2023 in the Training Horse division and finished 6th out of 33, adding no penalties to his dressage score.

Declan has also been foxhunting since the age of 4 and has hunted with 7 recognized packs in the southeast. He hunts in 1st field and has whipped in eight seasons. He is quiet, mannerly and safe.

Declan has an AA friendly temperament and passes it on to his foals. He is very willing under saddle and is incredibly rideable. His oldest offspring are already out competing in eventing and foxhunting with juniors and adult amateurs. All of his offspring are eligible for registration with the American Connemara Pony Society.
